Carved Towers in Danish Media

MUTOPIA’s Inner Mongolian project ’Carved Towers’ receives coverage in Danish Media as an example of engagement in sustainable global development by young Danish practices.

Danish Centre for Architecture (DAC) also features, along with the ‘Carved Towers’, an interview with Serban Cornea, partner-in-charge of MUTOPIA’s Chinese operations, on China and MUTOPIA’s engagement in Danish Resources, a collaborative Danish project on sustainable architecture by DAC and Realdania.

Building Sustainable Communities, an exhibition showcasing Danish architectural and engineering companies engaged in the development of sustainable communities and the creation of towns, cities and buildings that provide optimum performance as regards welfare, modern lifestyle and climate-stabilizing solutions, has been travelling worldwide at venues including Abu Dhabi, Berlin, Stockholm, Warsaw, Moscow, Riga, as well as Shanghai Expo 2010.

MUTOPIA has been invited  to generate a “green” proposal for a 50.000 m2 mixed use development in Erdos, China.


Ordos (Erdos) is a city in Inner Mongolia founded in 2001, and committed to architectural experiments by architects worldwide. The city has a population of 1.36 million and is one of the fastest growing economies in China.
