The detailing phase of MUTOPIA’s SPIRAL has been kicked off yesterday at the Kalundborg Town Hall with an official ceremony attended by Mayor Martin Damm, Head of The Culture and Leisure Administration Jane Hald Christiansen, MUTOPIA partners Kristina Jordt Adsersen and Serban Cornea, and representatives for the project team, which includes CASA Arkitekter, OBH Engineers, Ekolab and E&M.

MUTOPIA has been assigned as client advisor for the detailing and construction phases with Serban Cornea as partner-in-charge of the forthcoming development.

The 2.600m2 large SPIRAL will be the first sports building in Denmark designed specifically to accommodate martial arts, as well as to creating synergy between a wide range of physical activities and organizations, clubs and schools, including Skolen på Herredsåsen and Børnehusene ved Fjorden.

The construction start of The SPIRAL is scheduled September 2014.
