Mega Mob

Saturday, August 1st, 2009

Denmark’s largest temporary public space will open September 2009 on the earlier Rigsarkivgrund site.

The 30.000m2 large site, which has stayed unused for a number of years, will finally turn beneficial to residents and visitors, when it will be furnished with moveable colorful chairs, chill out, play and exhibition areas, and green oasis.

Besides activating this unbuilt area and inscribing it within the town’s traffic network for bicyclists and pedestrians, MEGA MOB also tests at 1:1 scale a series of ideas for future public spaces generated by the children of the neighboring residential areas.
