The City Park Has Opened

Friday, May 23rd, 2008

The CityPark has been transformed from a 7.5ha flat grass carpet to a playful recreational area, which offers to the citizens of Copenhagen and to the inhabitants of the district a new landscape of islands. Here, inhabitants and guests can set up towards exploring among others the Treasure Island, choose to grill on the Picnic Island, kiss amid the flowers of the Valentine Island or play beachvolley on the Gilleje Island.

The park officially opened on Friday the 20th of June, with a great number of people and events. The press was there too – watch the story on TV2 Lorry here.
